Big Bill has entered the Jericho Vortex.
On the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Big Bill told FTW Champion Chris Jericho that he wanted to learn from him. "The Learning Tree" then said he would be keeping an eye on Bill, who promised to prove himself.
Jericho then defended the FTW Championship against Katsuyori Shibata on the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. They battled back and forth in a hard-fought match. In the closing moments, Big Bill ran in and attacked Shibata. He chokeslammed Shibata through a table. Jericho scored the win against Shibata to retain the title.

On the May 1 episode of AEW Rampage, Big Bill stated that he always believed that he had all the tools necessary to make it to the top, but he needed the proper guidance. Bill said that Chris Jericho was the guy who could give him that guidance and take him to the next level. Big Bill asked Jericho to teach him.
Jericho showed up and commented on his victory. He said that Bill was right, so he would love to take him into the Jericho Vortex and make him a part of the Learning Tree.

Big Bill is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion. He and Ricky Starks lost the titles to Sting and Darby Allin on the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite.
